===> Beauty Advice <===

Well as you all should know already is that spring has officially sprung here in New York! For all you people you probably just arrived here or haven't been here for long, the weather here has been the pits lately. Meaning the weather here was bad, not as bad as last winter, but it was almost getting there. I guess that's why God made seasons. So I read an article on a woman who gives us girls a little tip for the summer. I mean, if there is one season that hair and makeup are most important, it's summer. Think about it: you're out of school, you're having fun 24/7, and it's just a time to look super cute and pretty and let loose and create memories. I mean isn't that any teenagers summer about! Going out to parties, having fun with your friends, staying up until 5 o'clock in the morning. :) So she gave us a couple of questions that pondered over the last week.

1. I want to have fun with color in the summer. How do I do that without looking like a clown? Hey my answer would of been, just don't wear make-up, then you won't have to worry about looking like a clown! (Unless your like my class mates) =D Although she had a different way of answering it:

"Too funny! You'll be relieved to know that there are ways to go from boring to bold without layering on the royal blue eye shadow and hot pink lipstick. The trick is wearing a bright color on one feature at a time. I like putting the focus on my eyes in the summer, so I'm dying to try a sheer, light teal cream shadow (I'm obsessed with Dior Eye Show in Pop Aquadelic) with copper eyeliner (Try Clinique - they make my favorite eye liners of all time). This combo will make almost any eye color pop. Another pretty look is slightly winged eyeliner in anything but basic black (Urban Decay Liquid Eyeliner in Crash or Shattered are THE best). Another way to add color is to line your top lash lines with your usual black or brown, then line your bottom ones with a really bright, shimmery one (Sephora brand eye pencils come in a bazillion shades and cost less than my lunch. Stock up!) For lips, tinted balm with SPF is the way to go. On the occasions that I do like a little more color, I apply pink or nude lipstick with my fingers and tap it onto my lips for the sheerest layer possible."

2. How do I keep my makeup looking fresh all day? My answer, don't get your face wet or start to cry. Trust me I've seen movies where the acters cry and black make up comes pooring down their faces, which I've always wanted to try for some reason. She said:

"Yeah, this is tricky. But after battling 100-degree subway stations during my summer morning commute to work, I came up with some solutions. Firstly, the less you wear, the less that you'll sweat off. Look in the mirror and ask yourself: do I really need that tinted moisturizer or foundation? If the answer is yes, figure out why, then try to fix the problem without that extra layer of gunk on your face. Uneven skin tone? Try using a gradual facial self tanner the night before. Having a bit of color will give the illusion of evenness and give you a nice little glow at the same time. Got breakouts? Cover them with small dabs of a concealer in stick form (they tend to be drier and won't migrate to other areas of your face like creamy formulas will). Avoid cream blush. It'll be the first thing to disappear off your face. Instead, try one that enhances your natural cheek color, like Smash box O-Glow. Go for waterproof mascara and liner and use an eyelid primer before applying shadow. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (It's worth every penny, by the way) works like a dream."

This proves that not all people have the same opinion, you could have your own opinion. I mean yea my opinion is something you won't say, but hey that's just me! You could do it up big if you want to.

Hot Hot Sandals! =D

I know it's only March, and still freezing cold outside, but all I can think about is spring! I just want to thrown on a dress (without tights!!), a light jacket, and some cute sandals. Well, since I know my mom or dad wouldn't let me do that...I've been doing a lot of online browsing, I mean my mom are into sandals like these. I recently came across these Old Navy sandals. Aren't they super cute? They come in seven different colors and are only $12.50!!! The gold version are my fav since they look so glam. These sandals will look so cute with jeans, shorts, and even with all my dresses. Let me know what you think of them or if you find any must buy shoes!! I need to start stocking up for summer!
Also to be totally honest, I did not read an article, this short paragraph I wrote was by me --Destiny --. Although if you want to see the these sandals in the other seven different colors, visit:

Spring Beauty Trends!

Summary: I previsouly read an article on spring beauty trends. Well as you all know it's still über cold here in New York City. The lady in the article had a strong feeling in her bones that spring is coming any second! Although it's still too chilly for her to wear her coveted sundress and wedges, she wants to update her look and banish the winter blahs. What better way to do that than through makeup? These are the spring beauty trends that the woman in the article was itching to try:

Neon nails. I know you know it's time to ditch the black nail polish when the manicurist in the salon now has five different shades in stock! Dark tones are edgy and chic, but she wants to stay away from sober colors and try cheery hues, like cotton candy pink and even robin's egg blue. I'm still too cautious to paint my nails yellow though!

Eye-catching eyeliner. She's noticed that colored eyeliner with sparkles is an interesting new way to make eyes pop for a party. Dancing with the Stars' Julianne Hugh rocks a gray-blue shade in the April issue of CosmoGIRL! — I got a sneak peek! — and Heidi Klum tried it too on Project Runway. I'll be scanning the shelves for a similar one at a sweet price!

Bright lips. She always been more of a nude gloss kind of girl, but she thought cherry-colored lips are so cute. Lip stains are an easy way to achieve this kind of look because they're neither a lip gloss nor a lipstick and the color stays put all day long. She heard Revlon's "Just Bitten" lip stain works really well.

What's Fashion Without a Little Tone To It?

Today's topic is going to be about the music that Mr. Levy should be playing for 9th period!! I mean there's nothing wrong with the songs he usually play's, but it's just some times I get tired of hearing the same thing, and even other people agree with me because they tired of hearing people sing it over and over again. My type of music is totally different then the songs you all know and play. My type of music is the punk rock type, like hard coure types of songs! =) Weird? I know, I get that a lot, but it doesn't really seem to bother me, I just guess I like being different. I mean there are songs that ya'll heard of before, but it doesn't hurt to try domething new! Hey! I won't even bother if you play Michael Jackson, which I also sometimes listen to, but that's just me!

Well, here some different songs you should play in 9th period:

  • Fantasy Girl- Stevie B.

  • Beat It- Michael Jackson

  • Wanna be Starting Something- Michael Jackson

  • Through The Fire and Flames- Dragonforce

  • Less Talk More Rokk- Freezepop

  • Thriller- Michael Jackson

  • Cliffs of Dover- Eric Johnson

  • Outta My Head (Ay ya ya)- Ashley Simpson

  • The Way You Make Me Feel- Michael Jackson

I mean that's not even half the songs I listen to, but that's my favorite! The Michael Jackson songs I got from my teacher Ms. Heiser. I just love listening to her iPod! =P But hey that's just me!

*Classy Not Trashy*

Summary: In this article I read about a girl that was in a rush and was running all around the mall, because she had to buy an dress, but not just any dress, a little black dress for her friends party at the club. Since she was short on time she ran into the first store she saw with a black dress in the window. What a happened to be so funny was that store she ran into happen to be a store known for selling mostly “club” clothes for really cheap prices! She found a few black dresses that she thought looked OK, so she tried them on. They fit her really good, but she thought the material was cheap and see through, so she walked out and ran to another store. However, she did find the perfect dress at a store called Express. She described it as "It was a strapless, sweetheart style, and empire waist dress. Sexy little black dress — and the material wasn’t see through."

Opinion: I think the article was very classic, in other words like any other typical girl running from store to store looking for the just right dress! I know how fustrated it is to go to many stores and they don't have what your looking for. Or you finally find what your looking for, but they don't have it in your size! That is really frustrating. =(

Knee High Socks Still in Fashion?!!

Attention all blog viewers!
Can you believe that knee high socks are still in fashion?

Summary: Well today I read an article on a girl who says knee high socks are a part of her daily wardrobe. It all started in middle school when she used wear knee high socks to play volley ball and soccer. Even in high school she wore knee high socks under her skirt! She even liked when people told her 'Wow totally 80's,' or 'Old school,' or even, 'What are you wearing?' Pretty crazy right?. Although all of that did not get to her! All she had to say was, "If I feel like wearing tube socks, I'm going to wear my tube socks!" She was and still is that type of the girl!

Opinion: My opinion on the woman (presented to you on the left) is that she is a very confident woman. She does not care what anybody thinks. That girl is pretty darn crazy! =) Reading this article made me realize that you don't need anyone's opinion to make yourself feel pretty. If you feel like wearing brown jeans with a purple shirt and blue sneakers than wear it! Don't let anyone judgde you! =)
